Q: What are the roads like on the Tiger Rally?
The roads are generally very good.

Q: What modifications do you suggest are required?
On this type of event it is usually the suspension that takes the brunt of the problems so we suggest uprating the springs and shockabsorbers. If you car is low, then it would be a good idea to add a sump guard.

Q: What happens if we breakdown on the road?
We have our own mechanics - both English and local - who will get you going at the roadside.

Q: What if you can't get the car going?
We will arrange for your car to be transported to the night stop if the mechanics deem this is possible, where we will continue to help with the repairs.

Q: What if the car cannot be repaired?
We will arrange for the car to be transported to the nearest port and if possible we will find a vehicle for you to hire at the first opportunity so that you can continue with the group. Any extra costs incurred will be down to you.

Q: Our car is small and there isn't much room for luggage. Can you carry some of our luggage?
We will be providing a luggage van which gets away as soon as the last piece is loaded but space is limited to one bag per participant vehicle.

Q: What is the weather like at this time of year?
It is quite warm throughout the event so you will not need any winter clothing.

Q: Can you pick up my car from home or my garage?
We can collect your car but there will be an extra cost for this.

Q: Are flights included in the cost of the event?
No, as we expect entrants to come from all corners of the earth. Please organise flights with your own travel agents.

Q: Will you have a briefing?
We will have a briefing neared the time in London. If you are unable to make it we can send you the documentation. If you come to London at any time we can meet you to discuss your entry.

Q: If I fall ill or have an accident how will you deal with it?
We will have an experienced European doctor on hand to help at any time.

Q: What about car insurance?
We will provide you with 3rd party insurance only. We suggest you take out Marine Insurance and accident insurance. We can put you in touch with a company that can do this.

Q: Does my car need FIA papers?
No, this is effectively a tourist drive so FIA papers are not required.

Q: Will we need visas?
Everyone will need Visas for Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Check with your local Thai and Malaysian embassies if you require visas for those countries.

Q: Can I swap drivers or passengers during the event?
Yes you can swap at any time, although the owner of the vehicle needs to be with it when it crosses borders.

Q: Will you inspect the vehicles before the event?
No, we do not make a vehicle inspection but we require you to have a valid vehicle test/MoT certificate.

Q: Do we need a competition license?
No, but you will need an International Driving Licence.

Q: Is there any off-road driving?
Not unless you get lost!

Q: Do we need previous experience to do this rally?
No, we will help novices in the initial stages to navigate their way round the route.

It lasts one month

Q: Will there be a TV or film crew with us?
We may have a crew filming the vent, so if you don’t want to be in the film, please tell us beforehand.

Q: Is the food included in the price?
We include all breakfasts and the occasional evening meal, but to help you explore the towns you go to we will make suggestion of the best places to eat and drink.

Q: Is the Carnet cost included in the price?
No that is down to you as the value of cars can vary greatly and we can’t budget for this variance.
